The post DAMWON Gaming vs Team Dynamics betting tips – LCK Summer 2020 appeared first on Esport Bet.
]]>Team Dynamics and DAMWON Gaming will clash for the second time in their history on Saturday during the ninth week of the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) 2020 Summer.
The 2019 LoL World Championship quarter-finalists have looked near unstoppable this split. They enter their 16th match as the LCK frontrunners with a 13-2 record and 28-5 game differential, which sits them slightly ahead of DRX due to their better game win rate.
While DAMWON narrowly lost to Gen.G (1-2) during Week 2 and DRX (1-2) in Week 4, they avenged those losses by taking down DRX (2-0) in Week 7 and Gen.G (2-1) last week. Heo “ShowMaker” Su and co. also defeated Team Dynamics (2-0), Afreeca Freecs (2-0), SANDBOX Gaming (2-0), ?SeolHaeOne Prince (2-0) and Hanwha Life Esports (2-0) to enter their next match on a seven-game winning streak.
All five DAMWON players have performed well this split, but mid laner ShowMaker is the standout with a league-high 16.2 KDA (142/25/263). That is more than double the figure of the second-highest KDA in the LCK 2020 Summer, which belongs to T1’s ADC Park “Teddy” Jin-seong (8.0).

It’s also worth noting that DAMWON jungler Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu has the third-highest KDA (7.1) in the division, while ADC Jang “Ghost” Yong-jun is ranked fourth with 6.9. To put into perspective just how dominant DAMWON Gaming’s laners are, their worst-performing player is Jang “Nuguri” Ha-gwon, yet he has the 15th-highest KDA (4.7) in the league and the second-highest mark out of all top laners.
Team Dynamics’s 4-11 record means they are guaranteed to miss out on the LCK 2020 Summer playoffs, but they deserve a lot of praise for their efforts in the Korean top flight given they were formed less than a year ago.
Dynamics jumped out of the gates with three wins from their first four games in the split. However, it soon became clear that Lee “Kuzan” Seong-hyeok and his crew don’t possess enough quality or experience to compete with Korea’s finest, as they went on to lose 10 of their next 11 fixtures.
Team Dynamics’ four wins came against KT Rolster (2-0), SeolHaeOne Prince (2-1), Hanwha Life Esports (2-0) and, surprisingly, T1 (2-1). Other notable results include two 1-2 series against Afreeca Freecs and an identical score line against SANDBOX.
Lane by lane, DAMWON Gaming are a class above Team Dynamics, who will likely struggle to win a single map, let alone the series. DAMWON are significantly more efficient in accumulating gold (+2904 GD @ 15m) than Team Dynamics (-884 GD @ 15m), and they are also far more effective in objective control.
A lot will have to go wrong for DAMWON to lose here. The head-to-head betting market offers little value, but the 10.5 kills handicap on the first map is an attractive option at $1.78 for the favourites.
Team Dynamics rank in the bottom three this split for average kills (9.9) and deaths (13.4) per game, whereas DAMWON top the league with 16.9 kills and only 7.9 deaths per game. The LCK Summer leaders have also produced an aggregate +23.25 kill differential across their last four games, which includes +38 against DRX.
This should be a complete stomp. Since DAMWON can’t afford to drop a single game if they’re serious about claiming their first LCK regular-season title, we expect ShowMaker and his teammates to start strong and close out the series as fast as possible.

]]>Team Dynamics and Gen.G will clash for the second time in the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) 2020 Summer this Thursday on the opening day of Week 6.
Gen.G have launched an attack on top spot in the league with an impressive four-game winning streak that includes a 2-0 victory over Team Dynamics in Week 4. They have not dropped a single game in that run and now sit third with an 8-2 record and +11 map differential, which puts them only one win behind the leaders, DragonX.
With an 80% win rate halfway into the split, Gen.G are on track to claim their second consecutive regular-season title. Although the competition is incredibly tough this time around, the individual quality on this team suggests they just might achieve that feat.
ADC Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk has been exceptional this split and holds the league’s fifth-highest KDA (6.3). He has also picked up four quadra kills, six triple kills and 14 double kills.
Ruler was in peak form against the resilient T1 last Saturday, recording an astounding 12.0 KDA and 720 DPM on top of 27.45% damage share across the series. Those numbers are all the more impressive when you consider he was facing arguably the best ADC player in the world, Park “Teddy” Jin-seong.
Ruler is not the only Gen.G player enjoying a standout split. Top laner Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee has been rock solid on the weak side, Kim “Clid” Tae-min is one of the most efficient junglers in the league, Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong’s mid- lane stats are second only to the otherworldly numbers of DAMWON’s Heo “ShowMaker” Su (14.5 KDA), while support Kim “Life” Jeong-min is doing an excellent job enabling Ruler to carry games.

Facing that all-star roster will be the LCK newcomers Team Dynamics, who felt the wrath of Gen.G less than two weeks ago. That was a one-sided sweep, as Ruler and co. came away with aggregate differentials of +24.1k gold, +22 kills (35-13) and +15 turrets (19-4).
Gen.G also showcased their superior macro play with a substantial lead in neutral objectives. While Team Dynamics managed to pick up only one drake across the series, their opponents responded with seven drakes and two barons.
Ruler starred that day with a 10.6 KDA and an outstanding 880 DPM, which was close to 69.9% of Dynamics’ combined DPM throughout the series. Bdd, Clid and Rascal also pulled their weight, finishing with 8.6, 6.2 and 7.1 KDAs respectively.
After that loss in Week 4, Team Dynamics managed an upset win against T1 (2-1) but followed that up with heavy defeats to DAMWON (0-2) and DragonX (0-2). While those results were expected, we would have liked to see a bit more from Dynamics heading into their rematch with Gen.G.
The quality gap between these teams is massive. While Gen.G are roaring favourites with most esports bookmakers, we expected them to be significantly shorter.
Although Team Dynamics managed to upset T1 on the final day of Week 4, the win was largely a byproduct of T1’s continued struggles with their drafting. Dynamics have copped two big losses since then, so there is not a lot of praise to give to Bae “sBs” Ji-hun’s squad.
As Gen.G crushed Dynamics just a few weeks ago and have improved even further since then, we can expect another one-sided bout where the favourites don’t even come close to dropping a map.

]]>The reigning League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) regular-season champions, Gen.G, will clash with high-flying newcomers Team Dynamics this Friday in the fourth week of the LCK 2020 Summer Split.
Team Dynamics have begun their maiden split in the LCK with three wins and three losses. They have defeated KT Rolster (2-0), ?SeolHaeOne Prince (2-1) and Hanwha Life Esports (2-0), and even though Lee “Rich” Jae-won and co. lost the remaining three fixtures against Afreeca Freecs (1-2), DragonX (0-2) and SANDBOX Gaming (1-2), there are a few positives to take from those matches.
Last Thursday, Dynamics convincingly lost to DragonX, but we have to give some praise to Dynamics’ jungler Kim “Beyond” Kyu-seok, who ended the series with a solid 3.0 KDA and even managed a 4/1/5 record on the first map.
Against SANDBOX, Dynamics impressed in game two, which Rich and his crew finished with a +10.8k gold lead to tie the series at 1-1. Unfortunately, SANDBOX returned the favour in game three, which they ended in just over 30 minutes with +10.1k gold lead.

This time out, it was Dynamics’ bottom-lane tandem in ADC Seo “deokdam” Dae-gil and support Kim “GuGer” Do-yeop who showed the most by finishing the series with 3.6 and 3.1 KDAs respectively. Beyond had another solid performance in game two on Nidalee with a 6/1/6 record but left a lot to be desired in game one (2/3/3) and game three (1/4/1).
As a team that just recently earned promotion from Challengers Korea (CK), Team Dynamics have held their own in the opening three weeks of LCK Summer and, considering their solid form against the bottom teams, established themselves as potential playoff candidates.
Gen.G finished the opening three weeks of LCK Summer with a slightly underwhelming 4-2 record, which sits them fourth in the league in a three-way tie with T1 and Afreeca Freecs. They defeated KT Rolster (2-1), DAMWON Gaming (2-1), SeolHaeOne Prince (2-0) and SANDBOX Gaming (2-0) but struggled against DragonX (1-2) and T1 (0-2).
Even though a 4-2 record is not terrible, it’s still well below Gen.G’s high expectations. Last split, they went top of the table in Week 3 and stayed there for the remaining six weeks. This split, however, things look much different.
Gen.G’s ambitions to win the league have not changed, but this time out, the race for the LCK crown has tightened. With DAMWON finding their stride, DragonX fixing their synergy issues and Afreeca Freecs raising their ceiling with strong performances from ADC Jin “Mystic” Seong-jun, it is crucial for Gen.G to win games like this one.
The betting odds show there is a massive gap between these two Korean esports teams, so it’s fair to say that the question here is not so much whether Team Dynamics can win, but whether Gen.G can come away with a clean sweep.
Since this will be the first-ever meeting between these teams, we have to consider the possibility Gen.G won’t know how to prepare for it. It’s also worth noting that Dynamics are a well-coached team, which is evident from their strong objective and vision control.
Even though Dynamics boast strong stats, Gen.G are still far more efficient in farming, objective and vision control, and even have a slightly more aggressive playstyle. What’s more, the individual quality Gen.G possess is far superior to that of Dynamics.
Gen.G can’t afford to drop this game if they wish to keep pace with the frontrunners. The safest bet is to go with established quality rather than hoping for Dynamics to spring any sort of upset.
