The Electronic Sports League has updated the complete list of the esports teams set to participate in ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022. Brazils TeamOne took up the last slot after winning the North American Closed Qualifier.?

?En route to the win, TeamOne were able to recover from the lower bracket of the tournament and faced off against ATK and North American esports franchise Nouns. Now, the Brazilian team will participate in the US$100,000 Dutch tournament, which kicks off on October 14.? ?

TeamOne played against Nouns in the first round of the NA closed qualifiers and were able to win both Overpass and Ancient. They continued advancing until they played against ATK in the upper-bracket final and were dealt a relatively one-sided defeat. ?

?After moving down to the lower bracket, TeamOne met the Nouns again and faced off against the team in a rematch. TeamOne came out on top once again and moved on to the tournament’s grand finals.

Their rematch with ATK yielded different results this time, entirely in TeamOnes favor. The team cruised through ATK in a clean sweep on Overpass and Mirage after getting 16-9 and 16-10 wins, respectively.? ?

The win and forthcoming tournament will give TeamOne the opportunity to stay in Europe for longer after the IEM Road to Rio Americas RMR, which will begin a week before the ESL Challenger LAN. The Rotterdam event will be TeamOnes first LAN event facing off against international opponents since they participated in the 2021 IEM Cologne Play-In.

North America will not have any squad representing the region in ESL Challenger Rotterdam. All four teams that previously qualified were from the CIS and Europe.? ?

During the tournament, TeamOne will go against opponents like Movistar Riders, ENCE, Nixuh, MOUZ, Fluxo, Eternal Fire, and Outsiders. The Brazilian team will most likely be the crowd favorite due to their first-place finish in Group C of ESL Pro League Season 16 Group C.? ?

The ESL Challenger Rotterdam tournament boast a $100,000 prize pool, half of which will be awarded to the winner. The champion will also get a spot in the upcoming ESL Pro League Season 17 Conference, which will have six teams admitted directly to the events group stage.

The ESL have made public the list of invitees for the forthcoming closed qualifiers for the ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022. Among the Counter Strike: Global Offensive teams listed are forzegg, Eternal Fire, Entropiq Team, ex-Gaimin Gladiators, the German esports team, sprout, the South African esports team, ATK Esports, and the Brazilian esports teams, Imperial Esports and paiN Gaming.

The ESL Challenger is one of the major Counter Strike: Global Offensive competitions which will be held in around one month from now. Hence, all eligible teams are tightening their boot straps to make sure they put up a good fight in earning a spot at the most anticipated event.

PaiN Gaming and Imperial Esports are the two teams that finished in first and second place, respectively, at the ESL Challenger Melbourne 2022, which took place this past weekend. Hence, these teams will do everything in their power to earn a spot in the tournament that will be held in the Netherlands. PaiN Gaming, which came out on top in the match between the two Brazilian teams, took home the victory, earning themselves a spot in the ESL Pro League Season 17 Conference as well as a cash prize of $50,000.

ForZe, Sprout, Eternal Fire, and Entropiq are the four European teams that have said yes to invitations to compete in the closed qualifier for their region. As a result of the fact that all four of them are now ranked within the top 30 on HLTV, the competition to secure the sole available seat in the ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022 will be intense.

ATK and ex-Gaimin Gladiators have both been given invites to compete in the closed qualifier that will take place in North America. These two teams will fill the two available slots in their region. In the qualifier round, they will go up against Team oNe eSports, who have already advanced past the first open qualifier round, while the second open qualifier round has not yet been held.

As a result of their victory in the South African qualifier, Nixuh has already secured their spot in the competition that will take place in the Netherlands.

In total, one team will move ahead from each region. They will be joined by four additional squads, all of which have been specifically invited to participate. These teams with direct invites are ENCE, Movistar Riders, Outsider and MOUZ.

Melbourne, in the Australian state of Victoria, played host to the most recent ESL Challenger tournament. In the championship match, the two Brazilian teams, Imperial and paiN Gaming, competed against one another for the trophy.

The ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022 will start on October 10, and similar to the competition in Melbourne, it will feature a prize pool of $100,000 and an opportunity to compete in the EPL Conference S17.

ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022 organizers have unveiled the direct invites sent out for the closed qualifiers.

For the qualifiers, eight teams were invited and will try their best to earn a slot in the CS:GO event, set to take place in the Netherlands. PaiN Gaming and Imperial Esports were listed among the invitees for the close qualifiers from South America. Two other teams from the open qualifier will join the teams in time for the event.

PaiN and Imperial were the finalists of the most recent ESL Challenger held in Melbourne. The tournament took place last week and saw the two SA teams duke it out, but paiN emerged as the victor. The team finished the tournament with a position in the ESL Pro League Season 17 Conference and a $50,000 cash prize.

On the North American end, two teams were invited, namely the ex-Gaimin Gladiators and ATK. In the qualifier, the two teams will meet up with another NA team, Team oNe eSports, who previously played in and got through the first open qualifier. One more team will join them from the open qualifiers.

The rest of the invites were given to the teams in the European region, such as Sprout, Entropiq, Eternal Fire, and forZe. Four other regional participants will join the tournament from the open qualifiers. The European invitees are some of the highest-ranked teams, so the competition is expected to be tight.

All eight invitees will play against each other in the qualifiers scheduled for October 14C16 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The winner will be awarded a $100,000 cash prize and a spot in the 2022 ESL Pro League Season 17 Conference.

At the end of the qualifiers, only one team will move forward from each region to the Pro League event in the Netherlands. At the moment, the only team qualified for the tournament is Nixuh, after the team won the South African qualifier. The teams rosters most popular player is Aran “?Sonic?” Groesbeek, who was previously a part of Cloud9 and Extra Salt.

Four other teams will join them, however, by direct invitation. At the moment, it is not certain who the invitees will be.
