The first three weeks of LCK 2024 Spring gave us a solid idea of where the teams stand. However, for some squads, their current standings don’t fairly reflect how good they are. That includes Dplus KIA.
While Dplus sit at 2-4, the eye test suggests they are playing well — as backed up by their performance metrics. They had a good game against Gen.G at the end of Week 2, and their two losses against KT Rolster and Kwangdong Freecs looked more like flukes than anything else.
T1 are widely regarded as the second-best team in the league, and as the reigning LoL world champions, they deserve some respect. However, having them priced at $1.18 against Dplus KIA is just absurd.
The teams have had nearly two weeks to prepare for this match, which typically favours the underdogs. However, at the offered LCK betting odds, siding with Dplus KIA on the map handicap market would be the right call regardless.

Hanwha Life Esports’s new roster has not looked too bad in the first three weeks of the LCK 2024 season. They’re 5-1 ahead of this match, with just one defeat against T1 at the end of Week 2.
This is a solid record to hold; however, we saw Hanwha Life Esports slip against Nongshim RedForce before the Lunar New Year break, which raises some concerns about their consistency. This shouldn’t be the main reason to doubt HLE as favourites.
OKSavingsBank BRION have been one of LCK’s bottom-feeders for years, but they are also capable of randomly dismantling some of the league’s top teams. Still, this year’s roster doesn’t look as potent as BRION’s previous lineups, and so far they’ve not shown enough to suggest they’ll be competitive against the top dogs.
Even though OKSavingsBank BRION are a scary team to bet against as heavy underdogs, we don’t have to overthink our pick. HLE are a vastly superior team and should run over BRION.
